SUMI GALLERY
Still you, just refined…
Something Blue: This gallery features an editorial series styled and creatively directed by SUMI, inspired by the timeless wedding adage: “something old, something borrowed, something blue.” Through this story, we explored bridal styling that extends beyond custom-made and bespoke gowns. Even when a bride chooses ready-to-wear or off-the-rack pieces, the final look can still feel intentional, distinctive, and deeply personal.
The bridal look itself is a case study in re-imagination. The bodice (top dress) and the long skirt are two separate pieces, originally from two different wedding outfits in store. We styled these together to create one cohesive silhouette. We selected a minimalist foundation to reflect the understated elegance common in in-store bridal designs.
By hand dyeing the veil blue and crafting a DIY bouquet, SUMI’s creative intention was to demonstrate how thoughtful, expert styling and visual storytelling can transform simple elements into something truly unique.
This look is a love letter to the fashion-forward “cool girl” bride who enjoys doing things differently while still embracing subtlety, refinement, and timeless elegance.
Enjoy the inspiration!
