SUMI GALLERY
Still you, just refined…
Something Borrowed: Did we mention the groom’s red floral and pearl lapel pin was a DIY crafted from dollar store flowers? Or that the draping on the bride’s dress was created entirely with safety pins? This editorial series, styled and creatively directed by SUMI, was inspired by the timeless wedding adage: “something old, something borrowed, something blue.” We explored wedding couple styling using only inexpensive, thrifted, and pre-loved pieces. No custom garments. No luxury budgets. Just vision, creativity, and intention.
The goal was simple: to demonstrate how a skilled stylist can transform the most overlooked, low cost items into extraordinary, high-fashion looks, even within the tightest constraints. The challenge? Styling both the bride and groom on a combined $50 budget. Yes, $50 for the couples entire look. And we delivered. If this is what our creative eye can achieve with $50, imagine what’s possible when you truly invest in your wardrobe. This look is an ode to the impeccably stylish couple proving that budget is not a limitation, vision is.
Enjoy the inspiration!
